Insanely Simple: behind the scene of Apple marketing

Apple’s unique advertising strategies have contributed greatly to the growth of the company in recent years and the discussion is worth watching for anyone interested in Apple’s marketing.

Former Apple ad man Ken Segall, and author of the book Insanely Simple, was interviewed by Time editor-at-large Harry McCracken in a special presentation at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA.

Case studies: Designing a BoomBox for TDK

Recently I just came across the TDK Life on record products in an electronic store and I was struck by how interesting they were, in comparison to all the Ipod boombox clones. They really stick out and are a great hommage to the Tape recorder era.

Then I found those two interesting Case studies about how those products came to life. It’s definitely a recommended reading if you want to know how serious product designers work.

The Apple users, before they started to think different.

Buy your apples with elegance.

Wether you are a Coffee or a Margarita person, Apple has a gift for you.

Seeing the Apple pendant on the hairy chest of Woz drove Steve to a new complete new level of design.

Paperweights are a very important component of Apple’s Brand Identity.

This Wall-Hanging was an exact replica of Steve’s bathroom carpet.
